About Motiva Preservé

Motiva Preservé is a new breast augmentation method that can add subtle fullness to the breasts without incising or severing muscles, ligaments, or nerve endings. This procedure consists of using gentle methods to manipulate your internal breast tissues, allowing your surgeon to place your implants without altering the sensation of your nipples or the natural shape and structures of your breasts.

What Type of Breast Implants are Used?

During the procedure, your surgeon will use the For Preservé procedures in the United States, the implant used is the Motiva SmoothSilk® Ergonomix® implant. Ergonomix2® is not currently cleared for sale in the U.S. Please update any references to Ergonomix2 accordingly . These silicone-based implants are the world’s first ergonomic breast implant. They feature ProgressiveGel Ultima® technology, which allows the implants to move naturally with your body. (2) This means that the implants will appear sloped when you are standing upright, but more round when you lie down, similar to that of organic breast tissue.

Benefits

Motiva Preservé offers numerous benefits, including:

  • Less Invasive Techniques: Motiva Preservé does not require cutting any underlying breast tissue, allowing you to achieve your goals without worrying about changes to your nerve endings, chest muscles, or breast ligaments.
  • Maintained Movement: Our surgeons use Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix implants, which can move and adapt to the position and shape of your natural breast tissues.
  • Quick Recovery Time: Many patients who undergo this procedure can return to their routine within the same day, which is significantly shorter than the recovery time traditional augmentation methods require.
  • Natural-Looking Results: Motiva Preservé subtly enhances the upper poles of your breast, leaving you with results that look and feel like you.
  • Tailored Treatment Plans: Our surgical team customizes each aspect of the procedure according to your natural anatomy and aesthetic goals.

Candidates

You may be an ideal candidate for Motiva Preservé if your breasts are already evenly sculpted, but you want to add additional fullness to the upper portion of your breasts for subtle improvements in your cleavage. It is also important that you want to place your implants above the pectoralis muscle rather than beneath it.

To undergo this procedure, you should also be in good general health and maintain realistic expectations regarding what this procedure can accomplish. You should also be nonsmoking or willing to quit using nicotine.

Personal Consultation

The first step to elevating the appearance of your breasts is scheduling a personal consultation at our Englewood office. During this visit, you will meet with one of our surgeons, where they will determine whether Motiva Preservé will suit your needs and to establish a more meaningful relationship with you. They will review your medical history, including any previous procedures you underwent, your medication intake, and any allergies or sensitivities you possess. They will learn more about your goals, motivations, and areas of concern. They will also perform a physical examination to assess your breast composition, skin quality, and overall anatomy.

Your surgeon will then use this information to finalize your candidacy and determine whether Motiva Preservé is right for you or not. They will help you choose the most appropriate pair of implants for your desired results, and they will use Crisalix technology to help you visualize your results. Each aspect of this conversation will help your surgeon create a treatment plan suitable for your needs. As they work with you, they will also answer and address any questions or concerns you may have.

If you are ready to schedule this consultation, please contact us online or call (303) 792-5665.

Preparation

Once you have scheduled your procedure, our team will provide you with a set of preparation instructions at your pre-operative consultation. We ask that you follow each one, as they will optimize your procedure and results. They typically include:

  • Arranging Time Away: Prepare to take time away from certain activities to allow yourself time to heal.
  • Coordinating Transportation: Have a trusted friend or relative drive you home after your procedure.
  • Altering Your Medication Intake: Discontinue using any blood-thinning medications or supplements in the weeks leading up to your procedure.
  • Running Errands: Pick up any medications you may need before undergoing your procedure.
  • Cease Substance Use: Abstain from consuming any nicotine or alcohol in the weeks before your procedure, and maintain your cessation throughout your recovery.

Procedure

On the day of your procedure, you will meet with your surgeon one last time. They will reconfirm the details of your procedure with you and answer any remaining questions you may have. They will mark out the treatment area with a skin-safe marker before administering anesthesia.

Your surgeon will then make an incision that extends horizontally across the inframammary fold, or the crease beneath your breasts. This will allow the natural curves and contours of your breasts to hide any scarring as you heal. They will then use a small device called a Motiva® Channel Separator to gently move your underlying breast tissues and create a tunnel to access the space where your implants will lie.

From there, your surgeon will use a Motiva® Inflatable Balloon tool to push your natural breast structures aside, creating a pocket for the implants to rest in without damaging your nerve endings, ligaments, or other breast structures. This placement will be made in front of your pectoralis muscle, or subglandularly. (3) They will then use a Keller funnel to insert the implant into the pocket before carefully closing the incision.

Recovery

Because Motiva Preservé uses minimally invasive techniques, your recovery time will be significantly shorter than that of a traditional breast augmentation. Many patients who undergo this treatment feel well enough to return to their routine on the same day as their procedure, or in the days after. However, you will need to withhold from participating in any strenuous or demanding activities for approximately two weeks, or until your surgeon has cleared you to return.

As you heal, you may also experience some initial swelling, bruising, or general discomfort. These effects are temporary and will subside with time, but you may also manage them using medications approved by your surgeon and plenty of rest.

Your surgeon will provide you with a set of written guidelines to guide you through your recovery. By following each one as they direct, you can ensure the best possible results develop.

Results

You will be able to notice immediate improvements in the shape and fullness of your breasts, and your results will continue to refine themselves as any residual swelling dissipates. You will then be able to enjoy subtle, natural-looking enhancements in the fullness of your breasts that seamlessly move with your pre-existing breast tissue.

The results of Motiva Preservé are long-lasting, with effects that can last between 10 and 15 years. However, it is important to understand that breast implants are not permanent devices and you will eventually need to replace them.

Cost of Motiva Preservé in Denver, Colorado

The cost of Motiva Preservé will vary depending on the details of your procedure. Once you and your surgeon have met to establish your treatment plan, they will discuss your financial obligations with you.

FAQ
